Arsenal’s second choice goalkeeper David Ospina could be on the move this summer, with Fenerbache reportedly back in for his signature.
The Turkish club have revived their interest in Ospina who they have been linked to since last summer, with the Turkish press reporting that the club’s executives have flown to London to negotiate a deal for the Colombian.
Ospina made just two Premier league appearances last season, but featured heavily in the EFL Cup, Champions league and FA Cup, playing in Arsenal’s much needed FA Cup final win ahead of first choice goalkeeper Petr Cech.
However, he reportedly wants to stay at Arsenal this season, and Fenerbache have already identified Malaga’s Carlos Kameni as a backup option should they fail to sign the Colombian international.
With Wojciech Szczesny returning to the club after his loan spell at Roma, Ospina might reconsider his stance, with the lure of more playing time elsewhere.
Arsenal’s asking price is is reported to be £3.5m, and might be willing to negotiate further after Nantes pulled out of the race to sign him last week, and going on to admit the fee was unfeasible for their current budget.
Ospina joined the gunners in 2014, and usurped Wojciech Szczesny as first choice, before losing that position with the arrival of Petr Cech, he has lifted the FA Cup three times with the Gunners.
