Arsene Wenger has revealed he is not preparing to overhaul his playing squad this summer, contrary to reports.
More than half a dozen of Arsenal players have been linked with a move away from the club with players being linked with replacing them but Wenger has revealed we won’t see a lot of movement out of the club this summer while also adding he is looking to strengthen the squad by adding three new faces.
The Frenchman emphasized the importance of keeping the squad together next season as he thinks the team will be better if its stable
Wenger said: “We want to keep the squad stable over the summer while strengthening where possible.
“You want the group to be stimulated and to believe that we have improved the quality.
“I must say, we want to combine technical stability with players that we know want to play and know our game.
“Maybe bring in three players for example – that’s the right level for me.”
Wenger is expected to sign a centre forward, a centre midfielder and a defender this summer. Granit Xhaka is reportedly on the verge of completing a move to the club while the French man is monitoring the situation of Napoli’s Gonzalo Higuain and Swansea’s Ashley Williams amongst others.
