Arsenal will travel to Manchester this weekend to take on old rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford in Premier league’s super Sunday clash.

The Gunners have been handed a major boost ahead of the game at the weekend with news of the unavailability of two of United’s key men Wayne Rooney and Luke Shaw.

The Red Devil’s boss himself confirmed this while speaking to reporters ahead of the clash.

Louis van Gaal admitted that he is not happy with the loss of the duo who both sustained injuries in their 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace last Saturday.

“The situation is not positive for us, they cannot play, neither of them,” Van Gaal told reporters.

“Yes it is a short term thing, we have only one match to play, so I think it will be difficult for them to play again this season.”

This report is sure to come as good news to many Arsenal fans who are weary of the danger both Rooney and Shaw are capable of causing in the match.

Do you think Rooney and Shaw’s absence on Sunday would give Arsenal an edge over United?
