Fenerbahce are set to hold advanced talks with Arsenal over a loan deal for Lucas Perez, according to reports in Turkey.
Lucas Perez has struggled to make his mark at Arsenal since joining from Deportivo La Coruna last summer for £17million.
The winger was forced to play second fiddle to Alexis Sanchez last term and has fallen further down the pecking order following the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette.
His agent Rodrigo Fernandez admitted last month a number of clubs were showing interest in his client, including Deportivo and Sevilla.
And according to outlet TurkishFootball, Fenerbahce are now in advanced talks with the Gunners for the 28-year-old.
A source close to the Turkish club has revealed the two sides are set for negotiations over the next seven days.
Fenerbahce want to sign Perez on a season-long loan with an option to buy included.
The Istanbul club’s new manager Aykut Kocaman has reportedly personally requested the transfer.
Perez is under contract at the Emirates until June 2020 but his agent Fernandez admitted last month he could be on his way out.
“Anything is possible,” he said.
“The president of Deportivo can do wonders while last year I met with Sevilla, who again are interested.”
Arsene Wenger also admitted Perez could leave after he claimed he could not guarantee him regular game time this season.
“I would love to keep him but we have to sit down and see if he has a realistic chance to play,” Wenger said.
