Arsenal will resist any bid for Alexis Sanchez and Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain, according to Sky Sports.
Both players futures are currently in doubt as their contracts expire at the end of the new season and there is no sign of an imminent renewal.
Sanchez has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City as Guardiola has made him his prime target. The Etihad side are prepared to make the Chilean the highest paid player in the Premier League and also shell out £50m in transfer fees.
Chamberlain also has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool. The Reds first made enquiries about the winger in the winter transfer window and have retained a strong interest in his services. Klopp who is a big admirer of Chamberlain is reportedly prepared to spend in excess of £30m to sign him.
However, Arsenal are not prepared to lose any of the duo to a rival club and won’t entertain any bid from them.
Starsport claims club chiefs are adamant Sanchez will not be joining City and they have no intention of letting Chamberlain move to Anfield.
Both players will be free to leave for nothing next summer if they refuse to sign a new deal but club chiefs do not mind that and are insisting that the era when the club sold its best players to rival clubs is over.
Gooners will love this show of authority from the club as most of us were already scared of the prospect of losing Sanchez to City. Keeping him is a priority and we must do that if we want to challenge for the title next season. Same goes for Chamberlain.
