Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Arsenal youngster Gideon Zelalem is set to remain at Rangers until the end of the season, Rangers manager has confirmed.
Zelalem joined Rangers last summer in a six month loan deal but the 18 year old has impressed in his first six months and he is now going to remain in Scotland until the end of the current season.
Rangers boss Mark Warburton confirmed the news saying:
‘Gedion is staying with us,’
‘We talked to them as part of an on-going process. It’s about us creating an environment here where clubs of that stature trust us with their players.
‘That’s important medically, nutritionally, training wise, (in terms of) game-time, experience and that their players will go back to their clubs better individuals on and off the pitch.’
The 18 year old international is eager to make the grades at Arsenal and he believes he can do that by getting first team opportunities at Rangers.
He has made 14 appearances for Rangers since joining the Scottish side on loan. The midfielder joined Arsenal in 2013 and made his debut for the Gunners in an FA cup game in January 2014.
Zelalem will be hoping to impress Arsene Wenger with his performances at Rangers so he can be a part of the Gunners first team in the near future.
