Arsene Wenger and his men will take on Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb Wednesday night as both teams kick-start their 2015/2016 Champions League campaign.
Arsenal’s vice-captain Per Mertesacker has been a major doubt ahead of this game after missing the Gunners last two games due to illness.
The German has however recovered from the illness and had returned back to training with the lads, before he had a minor car crash on Monday this week after training.
Although Mertesacker was unhurt and even trained with the team on Tuesday.
However, Per has remained a doubt for the trip to Croatia. And now, January signing Gabriel Paulista – who has performed extremely well in his absence, seem to have broken the silence as to who would start alongside Laurent Koscielny in defence.
The Brazilian gave the hint today via a post on his official account on popular social media outlet Instagram.
“Today begins a new stage in my life, the first champions league of many that will come. Thank you God for everything, lets go @arsenal #gabrielisagunner #braziliangunner #UCL“
Here is the post by Gabriel Paulista.
