Arsenal have returned with an improved bid for Braga youngster Pedro Neto, according to reports.
Neto, 17, has been attracting interest from a host of top clubs, including Arsenal after impressing with his superb performances for Braga last term.
Arsene Wenger has since stepped up his interest in the forward and Arsenal recently had a €15m bid rejected by Braga.
Neto broke into Braga’s starting xi towards the end of last season and has gone on to establish himself as Portugal’s next big star. As a result, the Portuguese side are determined to get the maximum fee they can for the teenager.
Following Arsenal’s failed bid, Braga have placed a €20m price tag on the youngster and the Gunners have followed up the bid with a new one.
According to Tribal Football, Arsenal have now upped its bid to sign the youngster.
The information in the report was so vague and didn’t mention how much the Gunners’ new bid was worth but it is likely going to be closer to Braga’s demand, if we are to have any chance of snapping the youngster.
Barcelona are also said to be preparing an offer of theirs while Manchester United boss Mourinho is also watching Neto with keen interest.
Wenger has built a good reputation working with youngsters over the years and Neto would benefit a lot from training under a manager like him.
