Arsenal are monitoring Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, according to reports.

According to Gazetta Dello Sport via Football Insider, Wenger scouts have also been impressed by the player’s performances in the Euro 2016 competition and Wenger could now make a move for the 27 year old.

The report claims Wenger sees Perisic as an ideal replacement for Theo Walcott who failed to impress last season.

Chelsea have also been linked with the winger and Wenger could find himself battling with the West London side for Perisic’s signature.

The Inter Milan Winger currently has four years left in his contract and Football insider believes the Serie A club are not willing to sell the pacy winger. However, a fee in the region of £30m could be too much for the Italian side to turn down.

Perisic is being tagged as one of the stars of Euro 2016 by Danny Murphy as the former Liverpool midfielder has been impressed by Perisic’s displays.

“Croatia have been impressive partly because of the obvious people, Ivan Rakitic and Luka Modric, but Ivan Perisic has been one of the stars of the tournament for me,” Murphy said via Football insider.

“His power and running ability is phenomenal.”

Perisic scored 10 goals in 41 appearances for Inter Milan last season and recently displayed his quality by netting 2 goals against Spain in Croatia’s 2 -1 victory over Del Bosque’s men.
