Barcelona have decided they will turn their attention away from Hector Bellerin if they can’t sign him in the next 10 days, according to reports in Spain.
The Catalan giants are big admirers of Bellerin and have declared their intention to bring him back to the Camp Nou.
They see Bellerin who left the Camp Nou for Arsenal in 2010 as the perfect replacement for Dani Alves who left for Juventus last summer.
However, Arsenal have no intention of selling. The Gunners do not want to even entertain any enquiry for the defender and are insisting he will go no where this summer.
According to The Mirror, Bellerin who still has six years left in his contract is open to the idea of moving back to his boyhood club but would not force a move away from Arsenal.
As a result, the Spanish club is running out of patience in their pursuit of Bellerin and have now set a ’10 day deadline’ to sign the defender and if they fail to make any progress, they’ll turn to other targets.
The latter is going to be the likeliest scenario because Arsenal don’t want to sell Bellerin for any reason whatsoever and are under no pressure to sell a player with a long-term contract.
Gooners will be excited to see Arsenal stand its ground despite Barca’s strong interest but the battle isn’t going to end now if Barcelona decide not to sign any other full back this transfer window as they will likely return for Bellerin next summer.
