According to reports from the Express, Arsenal have completed the signing of Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City with an announcement imminent.

Reports from Italy suggest Arsenal are keen on making the Algerian international their third summer signing after complete a free transfer of Sead Kolasinic and Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon.

Wenger is keen on signing “only to quality” players this summer as he aims to bounce back from last season’s disappointing Premier League campaign where his team finished fifth in the Premier League table to miss out in next season Champions League action.

And Italian website Calciomercato.it are claiming that the Gunners have also completed a deal for Leicester’s Mahrez.

The Algeria international played a key role in the Foxes’ title win in 2016, scoring 18 goals across all competitions.

But that number dropped to 10 last season with Leicester struggling under Claudio Ranieri – something that ultimately cost the Italian his job.

Mahrez has since asked to leave the King Power Stadium, with the 26-year-old attracting interest from Barcelona.

But Arsenal now appears set to win the race for his signature.
