The transfer window may be several weeks away from officially opening, but that has not stopped clubs from monitoring their transfer target ahead of the summer window.
According to France Football, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger sent top scout Brian McDermott to France earlier this week to watch Lyon duo Nabir Fekir and Alexandre Lacazette ahead of a summer transfer raid.
The former Reading manager watched the French giants draw 1-1 with Bordeaux on Saturday as Fekir smashed home in the ninth minute his 13th goal of the season.
Arsenal are reportedly preparing to launch a stunning £60 million bid for the duo.
The French pair has excelled for the Ligue 1 side this term and Wenger is keen to bolster his attacking options with a joint bid.
Alexandre Lacazette is the top scorer in France’s Ligue 1 this year and has consistently shown that he deserves the opportunity to play for a bigger club.
Lacazette, 23, has scored 27 goals in 31 starts in the league – an impressive feat – while also raking in five assists in domestic competition too.
While attacking midfielder Fekir, 21, has established himself as a regular for Lyon this season and impressed with 13 goals in 27 appearances.
The duo would be a decent investment and would provide the necessary competition and support in the Gunners attack next season.
