Lucas Perez will be part of the Arsenal squad for their pre-season tour as he is highly rated by the new Gunners boss, this is according to report.

The 29-year-old Spanish striker arrived Arsenal in the summer of 2016 from Deportivo Lacuruna in a £17million deal – the striker featured in only 11 League games for Arsenal and despite bagging a hatrick in the Champions League, Wenger did not give the striker adequate game time and he was loaned back to his former club last summer.

Perez’s return to the La Liga with Deportivo last summer is one to forget. He played regularly for the side but most his cameos came from the bench and he managed to score only six goals in the La Liga.

While most of the Gunners fans may have forgotten the striker, Emery has handed his compatriot a lifeline as he is expected to join Arsenal in their preseason training and tour.

The squad of Arsenal will resume training for the new season on July 2 and Perez will be in the camp of the Gunners at that time.

Nonetheless, the agent of the player Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle, will met with the Gunners to discuss the future of the player. it is claimed that Emery attempted to sign the player in 2016 before he completed a move with Arsenal.

Arsenal have two quality strikers in Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but it is a good idea to add a third.
