Arsenal have agreed to sell Wojciech Szczesny to Juventus, according to reports.
Juve have been working on a deal to sign the shot stopper since the end of last season and are now closing in on a deal after the shot-stopper reportedly passed a medical .
The Gunners were said to have demanded £13m for the Pole but according to Sky Sport Italia via The Express, Juventus have now had a £10.5m bid accepted for the goalkeeper.
The Italian Champions made an initial offer of £4m which was rejected but will now pay close to Arsenal’s valuation after seeing their other option Gianluigi Donnarumma sign a new deal at Milan.
Szczesny has agreed personal terms with Juve already and other details are expected to be finalized this evening. Szczesny will officially put pen to paper with the Italian club in the next 24 hours, ending an 10 year association with Arsenal.
The Poland international is apparently excited at the prospect of moving to Turin and he will replace Gianluigi Buffon as the club’s number one when the veteran goalkeeper retires next year. However, he will first have to make do with a place on the bench next season.
Szczesny is a product of Arsenal’s illustrious academy, having joined the club at 16. He was tipped by many to become the club’s future no 1 but that isn’t going to happen anymore as a move to Juventus is now more or less a done deal.
