Arsenal’s hope of landing Palermo sensation has been dealt a final blow with the an update from Palermo manager that the striker will be joining Italian champions Juventus in the summer.
This report is according to Sky Sport Italia, who claims that Palermo has announced that hot sensation Paulo Dybala will join Juventus at the end of the season after agreeing a whopping €40 million deal.
It was earlier reported that Arsenal had been cleared to sign Dybala after Juventus manager Max Allegri denied a deal was already in place to sign the youngster.
‘He is not yet a Juventus player,’ confirmed Allegri.
‘I will not talk about players from other clubs.’
But in a twist of event, Palermo coach Beppe Iachini confirmed after leaving Dybala out of his starting line-up for Sunday’s 1-0 win at Cagliari, that the forward is now ‘a Juventus player’.
“Dybala is now a Juventus player and this club is working towards the future,” the Rosanero coach told Sky Sport Italia.
This news would surely come as a blow to Arsene Wenger, who is reportedly keen on landing the 22-year-old in the summer to bolster his attack for next season.
Premier League trio Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea, as well as Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain where also interested in Dybala.
