Hale end graduate Emile Smith Rowe has signed his first professional contract with the club.
The 17-year-old, who joined the Gunners aged 10, is described as a “pacy winger with a keen eye for goal”.
He previously snubbed interest from Barcelona and Tottenham.
Smith Rowe said on Twitter:
“Happy to have signed my first professional contract for @Arsenal.”
A statement on the club’s website:
“We’d like to congratulate Emile on his first professional contract and look forward to his continued progress in the year ahead.”
Smith Rowe made his first appearance for Arsenal’s Under-23 team last season at the age of 16.
The Cockfosters local also played 15 times for the Gunners’ academy side, scoring six goals.
He has won eight caps at Under-17 level for England.
