Arsenal youngster Gideon Zelalem is set to continue his loan at Rangers until the end of the current campaign.
The youngster joined Scottish giants Rangers in the summer and the Scottish club is keen to extend the player’s loan until the end of this season.
Zelalem has been in superb form for Rangers and Rangers boss Mark Warburton is confident of keeping the youngster after holding talks with the gunners.
Warburton said: ‘So far, we are in good shape. The feedback from Arsenal has been very positive.
‘He is speaking to his family and, hopefully, we are closing to securing him.
‘The current deal is until January, but, as long as everyone is happy, we will extend that.
‘I have been delighted with his contribution and the last game he played for Rangers was his best so far.
‘We have a great relationship with Arsenal and our job is to make sure they know their asset is being developed properly.’
The United States international is keen to make the grades at Arsenal, he believes so much in his potential and claimed he believes he can match former Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo in the future.
Zelalem joined Arsenal in 2013 and made his debut in January 2014 coming on as a substitute in an FA cup game against Coventry City.
