Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka will become an Arsenal player this summer, according to reports in Germany.
The midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates since the January transfer window, actually there has been no week where there hasn’t been news about Xhaka and Arsenal but it seems the long protracted move is almost a done deal.
According to German website Sport1.de via the Daily Star, Arsenal have agreed to sign the midfielder this summer with the report adding that “Everything is already fixed”.
The report added Arsenal have agreed to pay a fee between £23m and £31m for the midfielder’s services.
The midfielder has been impressive for Monchengladbach this season and Wenger who is said to have sent scouts to watch the midfielder on numerous occasions this season is convinced that the Swiss captain is the right man to bolster his midfield.
Xhaka has previously indicated he would love to move to the EPL claiming it was his “childhood dream”.
“I think everybody has a dream,” he said. “Everybody has a childhood dream and that’s my childhood dream. If my dream comes true, it remains to be seen. At the moment I cannot say how realistic it is.”
