According to Dutch media, Arsenal have won the race in signing 16-year-old Feyenoord prospect Joshua Zirkzee.
The Daily Mail say the Gunners have moved ahead of United and a number of other clubs in the race to sign the 16-year-old.
Scoring 33 goals in 27 games last season, Zirkzee is rated very highly in Holland and Feyenoord had hoped to promote him to their U19s next term.
But the teenager has reportedly snubbed Manchester United and Ajax and is set to sign for Arsenal in coming days.
He scored 33 goals last season for Feyenoord academy teams to grab the attention of the Gunners.
Both Dutch giants Ajax and PSV are reportedly in the hunt for him, but Arsenal look to have leaped to the front of the queue.
Zirkzee has so far made 4 appearances for the U-21 national team and scored one goal.
