Arsenal have tabled a bid for Turkish international and Roma winger Cengiz Under, this is according to report.
Arsenal head of recruitment Sven Mislintat has earned plaudits for helping the Gunners sign Konstantinos Mavropanos and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but he is not resting on his onus as the reports have already linked a plethora of quality players with a move to Arsenal among whom is Under.
Under joined Roma in a €13.4 million deal from his country club Istanbul Basaksehir last term and he has impressed and grew in relevance in his debut season for the club. The 20-year-old winger started in 15 Seria A games for Roma this term and he has found the back of the net seven times.
Arsenal are not the only club interested in signing the player, Monaco are keenly interested too – while Arsenal made a €30m bid for the player, Monaco tabled €35m, according to TMW via Sportwitness.
Roma sold Mohamed Salah for 35million Pounds to Liverpool last season but his form for the Reds has left the Rome based club leaking their lips as they would have only accept a colossal sum for his transfer. They have rebuffed both offer for Under and will only let him leave if his €50m valuation is met by any of his suitors.
Arsenal had sold Theo Walcott and Alexis Sanchez in the January transfer window and they currently do not have a naturally winger that threatens opposing defenses.
