Arsenal are one of the four clubs interested in Brazilian left back Dalbert, according to reports.

Despite the arrival of Sead Kolasinac, reports haven’t stopped linking arsenal with Dalbert.

The Brazilian who currently plies his trade at Nice is regarded as one of the best fullbacks in Ligue 1 and Wenger is believed to be a big fan of him.

Arsenal were interested in signing Dalbert long before we signed Kolasinac but it’s being claimed Wenger still wants to sign him.

According to gunnersphere.com, Arsenal will have to activate the defender’s release clause if they really want to sign him this summer.

The clause is said to be worth €30m, with an unnamed source reportedly close to Nice, telling French newspaper, Nice-Matin that any offer less than that will be thrown off the window.

“We will not give in [for] less than €30m, the amount of his clause,” the source said.

Dalbert only joined Nice last summer but he was so impressive last term that he is now being linked with a host of big clubs.

Arsenal are not the only clubs interested in the 23 year old with Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan and Manchester City all keen on signing him.

His ability to play as a left back or a left wing back means he will be a perfect signing for Wenger who used both systems last season but the arrival of Sead Kolasinac must have ended every chance of a Gunners move.

Moreover, it is unlikely Wenger would want to pay as much as €30m for a left back when there are other positions to strengthen.
