Former Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette has been indirectly shown the exit door regardless signing for the Gunners last summer for £52.7m, according to Steve Nicol.
Arsenal coughed up a hefty £52.7m for his signature, but the Frenchman has struggled at the Emirates.
He’s managed just nine goals in 29 appearances for Arsene Wenger’s men.
Wenger spent big to sign Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund in January.
And the Gabon international – who cost around £60m – replaced Lacazette in the starting XI for the next two Premier League matches following his arrival.
Nicol says Lacazette must now leave because it’s clear Wenger doesn’t have him earmarked as the top dog up front.
“I think this is a no-brainer,” Nicol told ESPN.
“If you’re Lacazette, do you want to stay at Arsenal?
“You’ve never been given a chance, they bring in another player in Aubameyang, which pretty much tells you you have no future at Arsenal, absolutely.
“Wenger never gave him a chance, he never started him in the big games at the start of the season. Come January, he buys Aubameyang and he’s sitting on the bench again.
“There’s no future for this guy at Arsenal and the only way for this guy to get on the field is by leaving Arsenal.
“Regardless of how long he’s been there, which is not long, he has to move.”
