Arsenal’s Wojciech Szczesny could return to the Emirates this summer, according to reports.
The goalkeeper who spent last season on loan with AS Roma was prepared to extend his loan spell at the Italian club but it appears Roma has failed to agree terms with Arsenal.
The Italian club also wanted to keep the goalie who impressed with them last season but the Financial aspect of negotiations is set to scupper the deal as Roma have failed to meet Arsenal’s asking price.
According to the Guardian, Szczesny is now expected to return to the Emirates for pre season before the club will decide on what next to do with him.
The Poland goalkeeper has always rejected the option of playing as back up to Petr Cech and would definitely push for a move to another club before the close of the transfer window.
The goalie who is currently with the Poland national team at the Euro 2016 has revealed he is currently focusing on his national team and will make a decision about his future after the competition.
“Arsenal and Roma are talking but I don’t want to worry about it now,”
Szczesny said. “Whether I’m an Arsenal player or a Roma player right now, it makes no difference to me. I want to focus on this tournament.”
