Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczeny is set to return to the Emirates at the end of the current campaign, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Goalkeeper who joined Roma at the beginning of the season has had a mixed spell at the Italian capital so far. Despite his series of decent performances on the pitch, his off the pitch behavior sometimes have raised eyebrows.
According to the Mirror, Roma have told Arsenal they are not interested in extending the goalkeeper’s stay in Rome either on a permanent or on an extended loan basis.
The Italians have reportedly agreed a fee for Brazilian goalkeeper Allison who plies his trade at Internacional in Brazil.
Roma believed they had an option to extend Szczeny’s stay in Italy but couldn’t agree a fee with Arsenal, so they moved quickly for their long term and quickly agreed a fee for Allison.
Szczeny is likely to return to Arsenal squad and play back up to Petr Cech next season with current Gunner’s back up goalie David Ospina pushing for a move away from the Emirates in order to secure first team football.
