Arsene Wenger is planning to shock Arsenal fans and football fans at large by making a sensational swoop for Cesc Fabregas in the winter transfer window.

According to the Daily Express, Wenger wants to have a strong squad at his disposal this season as he bids to end our 12 year title drought and sees Fabregas as a perfect replacement to Santi Cazorla who has been ruled out for the next three months.

Although Wenger ruled out signing a replacement for Cazorla last week, the report claims he privately wants to sign a midfielder in January and he sees Fabregas as a good option.

Fabregas has proven he is one of the best centre midfielders in Europe over the years but his return to the Emirates may not be uniformly welcomed by Gooners.

The Spaniard left Arsenal for Barcelona in a controversial manner in 2011 and some fans have still not forgiven him.

Well, I don’t see any thing wrong in Cesc coming back and I don’t think Wenger does either because the French man suggested that the only reason he didn’t try to resign the midfielder from Barcelona in 2014 was because we already had Ozil.

Some fans could kick against his return but I think if it eventually happens, he would win every one back to his side. He is a quality midfielder on his day and will definitely improve out squad.
