Manchester City have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman, according to reports.
Arsenal reportedly failed with an enquiry for the winger earlier in the transfer window, with Bayern Munich insisting he isn’t for sale.
It is believed Arsenal remain interested in the 21 year old and would make a move for him if the opportunity arises but we may now face competition from Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola is on the look out for a new forward and has been linked with Alexis Sanchez all summer but with Wenger unwilling to sell the Chilean, the City boss is apparently now considering other options.
It’s been mentioned in some corners that City are keeping tabs on Kylian Mbappe – a player who has been constantly linked with Arsenal all these while.
And according to Teleport via the Daily Cannon, Man City are interested in signing Coman who happens to be another Arsenal target.
However, Bayern Munich remain uninterested in selling the youngster, meaning Gooners don’t have to worry too much about City signing the player under our noses.
The report, though, claimed Arsenal consider Coman as an alternative to Thomas Lemar but that is unlikely to be true as Wenger wouldn’t put a player who we have had an enquiry turned down for as an alternative to our top target.
With the transfer window less than three weeks to run out, Arsenal would do itself a whole lot of good if it focuses it’s attention on sign more attainable targets. The chances of signing Coman is almost zero.
