Manchester United vs Arsenal. Old Trafford Stadium. May 17, 2015.
Arsenal will travel to Manchester this weekend where the Red Devils will be waiting at Old Trafford for Premier League’s super Sunday showdown.
Arsenal however, have been dealt a blow ahead of their trip at the weekend with the news of the unavailability of Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Debuchy and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, as well as the uncertainty of FA Cup quarter-final hero Danny Welbeck.
This was revealed by Arsene Wenger, who provided Arsenal Player his teams’ update ahead of the clash.
“Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mathieu Debuchy and Mikel Arteta are not ready. Danny Welbeck has a little possibility to be fit. Aaron Ramsey is not in training yet but he should be better tomorrow. I don’t think we have any big injuries, maybe Welbeck will be available but at the moment he looks short.” The boss said.
“I don’t know how long the others will be out for, it’s difficult to say, but hopefully they will play again this season.” Wenger added
Among the four Arsenal players Wenger mentioned above, Welbeck’s uncertainty is sure to stand out as one which would leave many fans sweating ahead of the clash.
The former Manchester United man became an Arsenal hero after he helped Gunners thrash his boyhood club, advancing the team to the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
Welbeck has since struggled from several short injury spells, but looked set to return against United.
However, fresh news of his uncertainty will be on the mind of every Gunner ahead of the clash.
