Arsenal and Tottenham are set to go head to head in the race to sign Galatasaray winger Bruma, according to the Daily Star.

The winger who has been impressive for Galatasaray since the start of the current campaign is said to be attracting interests from a lot of clubs.

Arsenal and Tottenham are the two clubs believed to hold concrete interests in the winger and reports claim that we will rival each other for the his signature.

Bruma, 21, is regarded as one of Portugal’s most promising midfielders and is already being dubbed the next Cristiano Ronaldo in some quarters. Our scouts have watched him on several occasions and we will now follow that up with an official offer

The report suggests Galatasaray could decide to sell him for around £20m in January as they could be forced to sell him for a cheaper fee if he waits until the summer when he would have just one year left in his current contract.

The midfielder has been at the Turkish giants since 2013 but it is this season that he has made an impact at the club after a successful loan spell at Real Sociedad last year.

Manchester United and Chelsea have also scouted the winger but the battle to sign him in January is likely to be a North London derby.

We were linked with a couple of wingers in the summer transfer window and it wouldn’t be surprising if we actually make a bid for Bruma.

Alexis Sanchez who featured prominently as a left winger last season has been converted to a centre forward which could free up a space for a new winger in the squad.

Many Gooners will be keen to see how this will turn out as we enjoy nothing more than coming out top of our fierce rivals, Tottenham.
