Premier League sides have been boosted in the race to sign Borussia Mochengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka after the midfielder revealed his desire to play in the Premier league, according to reports.
The midfielder has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Liverpool and it has been reported that the Gunners are preparing a summer bid worth £37m to sign the Swiss international.
Wenger who is expected to allow some of his first team members like Arteta, Flamini and Rosicky leave the club next summer is keen to bring in Xhaka to fortify his midfield while Liverpool are also interested in strengthening their midfield with the same player next summer.
Both clubs will be boosted by the player declaring again that he wants to play in the Premier league.
“England is my dream. I do not hide it. Whether I’ll be happy there, only the good Lord knows. For me money is not important. Otherwise I would not move from Basel to Monchengladbach in 2012.”
The midfielder has drawn comparison’s with Germany legend and Manchester United star Bastian Schweinstiger due to his superb performances in the Bundesliga.
Liverpool and Arsenal could go head to head in the race to sign the 23 year old while Chelsea are also keeping tabs on the central midfielder.
