Chile manager Juan Antonio Pizzi has weighed into Alexis Sanchez future, amid claims that the forward is unhappy.
Sanchez is being linked with a move away from the Emirates, after refusing to sign a contract extension.
The Chilean has one year left in his current deal and while Arsenal are determined to hold on to him, Manchester City are making serious efforts to sign him.
However, Chile national team manager, Pizzi, has revealed that Sanchez is happy and focused despite the uncertainty surrounding his future.
“We think he’s very happy. He’s giving his best like everyone else,” Pizzi said, as quoted by Tribal Football.
“Everybody would like to be at the best clubs in the world, he is already at one, and everyone wants to have him in the squad. He’s very focused and he knows exactly what he has to do.
“We will see what happens in the future. Right now he feels very comfortable and he’s committed to the national team.”
The forward has shown he is a very good professional and despite all the speculations about his future, he was still Arsenal’s best player last season.
It is no surprise that he is attracting interest from big clubs and Arsenal must do everything possible to keep him. He would be a big loss if allowed to leave as he will be very difficult to replace.
Sanchez now has to listen to his boss comments that he is already at a big club and sign a contract extension with Arsenal. I hope he does.
