German Gunner Mesut Ozil has revealed he will be staying at the Emirate Stadium this season despite stalling to sign a new contract extension at the Emirate Stadium.
The German international has just 11 months left on his current deal with Arsenal and has been linked to top European clubs and China.
“It is definitely my preference to stay,” the German said on Wednesday.
“Once everyone is back in London, we will sit down and discuss the future. I have always said that I feel very good at Arsenal.”
“For now the most important thing is our pre-season and getting through the tour, training and getting fitness,” added Ozil, who joined Arsenal from Real Madrid for £42.4m in 2013.
“I have always said that I feel very good at Arsenal.”
‘I don’t know about my future’
The World Cup winner has been stalling on contract negotiations over the past year, but he is prepared to sit and discuss terms following the club’s pre-season tour of Australia and China.
