According to reports making the rounds, Arsenal might finally accept a new deal for Gedion Zelalem to remain in Scotland for the rest of the term.
Zelalem who was suppose to be back to the Emirates in January might end up staying till May, the 18-year-old completed the move to Rangers in summer and has been brilliant although has been criticized by Rangers supporters for being sloppy sometimes.
However, Mark Warburton has expressed his plans to keep the midfielder at the club for the rest of the campaign but it will be quite difficult as more players keep getting injured and replacement are being needed.
“So far, we are in good shape,” said Warburton. “The feedback from Arsenal has been very positive.
“He is speaking to his family and, hopefully, we are closing to securing him.”
“The current deal is until January, but, as long as everyone is happy, we will extend that.” the Rangers boss added
“I have been delighted with his contribution and the last game he played for Rangers was his best so far.
“We have a great relationship with Arsenal and our job is to make sure they know their asset is being developed properly.”
