Udinese star Jakub Jankto is open to a move to Arsenal, according to his agent, Beppe Riso.
Arsenal were linked with Jankto towards the end of last season, after club scouts were spotted watching him but we haven’t heard anything about a formal approach yet.
The player’s agent has now come out to flirt with Arsenal by claiming the midfielder is a big fan of the club and the Premier League at large.
Speaking in an interview with Italian TV, Riso said his client will be open to a move to the Premier League, with Arsenal one of his preferred destination.
“He likes Arsenal, he is a lover of English football. He likes Juve, Inter and other teams as well,” Riso said [via the Daily Cannon].
“He’s a young man, 21, and must be calm and think only of Udinese, then we’ll see. I see him more in the Premier League than in other championships, yes.”
It is unlikely Arsenal will make a formal approach for the midfielder this summer but should Wenger decide to move for him, The Gunners will face competition from Juventus, Roma, Inter Milan and Everton.
A deeplying playmaker, Jankto could be seen as a replacement for Santi Cazorla who is struggling with injuries but I don’t think he is there just yet, he will need a couple of years to reach Santi’s level.
