Arsenal forward Henrikh Mkhitaryan has tacitly blasted his former coach Jose Mourinho over his football ideology, this is according to report.
On his appointment as the manager of the Red Devils, Mourinho signed Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Borrussia Dortmund with a very high pedigree, but the Armenian forward in his estimation failed to impress him despite the chances given to him.
Mkhitaryan switched the fotress of Old Trafford for the Emirates in a swap deal that saw Alexis Sanchez moved the opposite direction. It is believed that his Premier League misery is now over and he will be able to realise his full potential with Arsenal.
Mkhi has on many occasions spoke about his time under Jose Mourinho but he has also laid bare his desire to succeed under Arsene Wenger.
“In the last year I played in Dortmund with Klopp, Dortmund was playing very good football and I think it seems to be a bit similar comparing Arsenal to Dortmund,” he told ESPN.
“I’m very happy to be here. I get pleasure playing offensive football and being part of Arsenal.
“Every offensive player wants to play offensive football. For me as well, I always love to play offensive football, it’s not easy to defend all the time.
“It’s necessary to do the best for the team, but in this case, when Arsenal are playing offensive football, I’m trying to give everything I can give to the team.”
Jose Mourinho came under heavy criticism for the tactics he deployed in Man United Champions League against Sevilla but that has been his style from his days at Porto. The Portuguese tactician has been urged to reinvent himself to the dynamics of modern football.
