Petr Cech has suffered a calf injury in Arsenal’s 5-1 win over Everton.
The 35-year-old was set to complete his 200th clean sheet but it seems the wait goes on.
Cech sustained a knock in the 69th minute after Everton managed to pull one back through a Dominic Calvert-Lewin header at the far post.
Moments later Cech was down and receiving treatment which forced the Gunners to make a substitute.
Stopper David Ospina came off the bench and continued for the next 20 minutes between the posts.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirmed: “He has a kick on his calf. I don’t know how it is medically.”
The Frenchman will be hoping Cech is fit for next Saturday’s North London Derby at Wembley.
Cech has now been subbed off in six Premier League games, three of which have been against Everton.
