Lucas Perez has reveled he is open to a return to La Liga, after a frustrating season at the Emirates.
The striker who completed a £17m move to the Emirates last August, failed to make an impact in his first season in the Premier League and he is now looking for a way back to Spain.
Last week his agent dropped a hint that Deportivo La Coruna and Sevilla could offer the striker an escape route out of the Emirates.
Perez has now confirmed he would be willing to take up the option of returning to Sevilla, if the opportunity arises.
“Who wouldn’t like to join Sevilla?” he told Estadio Deportivo while on holiday in Ibiza (via Squawka).
“I’m on holiday, disconnected, and I have no idea. I don’t intend to have another season like this one.
“Both Arsenal and the Coach have treated me very well, but I want to play.
“Wenger has been very sincere with me and, with it being a World Cup year, what I want is to play and if I can in Spain then all the better.
“Berizzo? He’s a good Coach, he’s showed it with the work he did at Celta, but no-one from Sevilla has called me.”
Perez made just eleven league appearances for Arsenal, with just two of those as starts and scored one goal throughout the course of the campaign.
Arsenal are expected to make a loss on the £17m they paid for the striker last August when he leaves the Emirates this summer.
