This weekend, Arsenal will take on an in-form Stoke City side coming on the back of a “trilling” yet “frustrating” 3-3 draw against Liverpool in midweek.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will be hoping his side get back to winning ways to further extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table; but the boss knows going to an in-form Stoke City at this time of the season with many of his stars out injured will not be an easy task.
However, the boss has some rather cheering news to lift the minds and spirit of both players and fans, when he stated in his pre-match press conference that his key forward Alexis Sanchez could start against Stoke on Sunday.
Alexis has been out with a Hamstring injury since December and although the Gunners have had a good run in his absence, Arsenal have in many occasions missed the Chileans threat in front of goal and team contributions all round the pitch equally.
Below is an Audio clip of Wenger confirming that “he’s pondering on starting Alexis against Stoke” which has led many to believe that the Chilean would in-fact make the starting line-up this weekend.
