Representatives of Massimiliano Allegri have begun negotiating his arrival at Arsenal to replace Arsene Wenger after the Italian boss fell out with several senior Juventus squad members, reports claim.

The former AC Milan manager, 49, has forged a sterling reputation in the game after winning three Serie A titles, two Coppa Italias and reaching the final of the Champions League.

But despite his success, Allegri’s relationship with his more experienced stars is at rock bottom after comments made this season.

Allegri admitted he wanted to ‘kick some of the players up the arse’ after a Italian Super Cup defeat to his old side Milan and this weekend he told the fourth official to ‘f*** off’ during a 2-1 defeat to Fiorentina.

His actions have not gone unnoticed and experienced trio Gianluigi Buffon, Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini are all unhappy at his conduct, according to The Sun.

Allegri believes he is undervalued by the squad and is now hoping to start a new job at the Emirates next season.

Wenger is set to leave Arsenal in the summer and the Italian boss believes he’s the ideal man to take The Gunners forward.
