Arsenal’s 19-year-old attacking midfielder Alex Iwobi has admitted he is living the dream after scoring his second goal in consecutive matches and improving on his debut league performance by adding an assist this time.
The youngster who is fast becoming a fans favorite has already been capped by Nigeria in what has been a breakthrough season for him.
He got the game going in the fourth minute when he set up Alexis Sanchez for the opener before slotting in a decent finish of his own to double the lead. His contribution recently has helped in giving the Gunners hope of a sustained title pursuit.
The youngster, speaking to BBC Sport said “Happy for the team, glad we won. It’s all for the team and I’m glad we’ve got the three points”
“When you’re young, you dream of this and this is like a dream come true, winning with this team.
Winning the title would be amazing, but we’re taking each game as it comes, game by game, and we’ll see where we end up come the end of the season”
Iwobi would be hoping to get the nod once again ahead of Joel Campbell and Theo Walcott in the starting xi for Arsenal when the Gunners transfer to east London to take on West Ham.
