Arsenal could face a mini goalkeeper crisis this summer should European giants Juventus complete a deal for Wojciech Szczesny.
Arsene Wenger has been battling to keep hold of all three of his acclaimed “world class goalkeepers” with Szczesny and David Ospina refusing to play backup to Petr Cech next season.
But Max Allgeri says Juventus’ deal to sign Arsenal goalkeeper Szczesny is not yet complete.
Arsenal would like to keep Szczesny but are ready to sell the Poland international to Juve, who see him as a successor to veteran Gianluigi Buffon.
But Allegri says the deals hasn’t been concluded.
“It’s not done! When I’m back, Juve will have signed players to improve the team,” he told Corriere dello Sport.
“Juve are at such a high level now that there aren’t many champions on that level.
“To move forward we have to find those players who will complete us in the areas where we are weakest.”
Ospina on the other hand is also closing in on a move away from the Emirates stadium with reports of the Colombian star set to hold crunch talks with Wenger before completing a transfer to Fenerbahce.
This would leave Arsenal in a mini-goalkeeper crisis with Martinez as the only backup to Cech – a situation Wenger is keen to avoid going into the new season.
Gooners, what do you think is the way out for Wenger in this situation.
