Premier League rival Liverpool are reportedly set to cause an upset in Arsenal’s bid to sign long time Serie A target, according to reports.
This report is according to popular Spanish media outlet Fichajes, who claim the Reds will battle Arsenal once again for the signature of Gonzalo Huguain when the transfer window opens in January.
The Napoli striker has been heavily linked with a move away from Napoli with Arsenal and Liverpool just among the few clubs keen on signing the Argentine.
And now, Fichajes claim Arsenal and Liverpool will go head to head once for the 27-year-old hitman, with both clubs looking to bolster their frontline in January.
However, the report added that Arsenal are currently leading in the race for the striker’s signature in January.
