Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina has revealed he won’t make a decision on his future until after the Copa America.
The Colombian international is being linked with a move away from the Emirates after a season where he played second fiddle to first choice goalie Petr Cech.
Ospina was limited to a handful of appearances last season due to the superb form of Petr Cech. Cech’s performances made it difficult for him to be dislodged from the No 1 Spot. Although Ospina did a good job when called to duty but the Colombian is said to be unhappy as a back up option.
The goalie has been linked with a move to Besiktas with some reports claiming the Turkish giants have already opened talks with Arsenal over the future of the goalie. The goalie himself has now casted doubt on his future at Arsenal claiming he doesn’t know if he will be staying at the Emirates next year.
When questioned about his Arsenal future by Sportsmail, the player said:
‘I don’t know, I don’t know what’s going to happen. Now I want to continue focusing on the Copa America. We will see what’s going to happen.’
The keeper helped Colombia reach the Semi- Finals of the Copa America at the expense of Peru by showing his quality in a 4-2 penalty shootout win.
