Arsenal are interested in signing Paris Saint Germain midfielder Lucas Moura at the end of the season, according to reports.
The Gunners are preparing a £22m bid for the Brazilian winger in order to beat Manchester United to his signature. It is believed that the player is high on Manchester United wish list after Louis Van Gaal emphasized the need for a pacey winger.
According to the Express via Spanish publication Fichajes, Arsene Wenger is ready to submit a £22m bid for the Brazilian international next summer.
Manchester United and Liverpool have been linked with a January bid for the 22 year old but the player has ruled out a move away from PSG in January.
“I am pleased with the interest of big clubs in me – if it is true it shows that they are watching me and happy with my football,” he told Brazilian TV channel SporTV.
“But my head is focused on PSG, I never thought of leaving here and I want to achieve my goals here.”
“In football, you don’t even know about tomorrow.
“The Premier League is the strongest league and if tomorrow or later an opportunity comes and I’m not happy here, of course I’ll have a think about it.
The winger Joined PSG in 2013 from Sao Paulo but the winger has found his first team appearances reduced since the arrival of Angel Di Maria. Lucas has scored 15 goals in 90 appearances since moving to France.
