Arsenal are yet to make a move for Olympic Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, according to reports.
The striker has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates with some reports claiming the Gunners were already in talks with Lyon over signing the striker.
However, Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas has revealed that the Gunners have not made any approach to sign the striker. The French club president also went on to add that the club is determined to keep the striker and will not look to sell this summer.
“I saw Arsene [Wenger, Arsenal manager] during France matches and he has not told me,” Aulas said.
“I don’t think it’s something and it seems Alex wants to spend this season with Lyon in the new stadium.
“He wants to know an adventure in the Champions League could be much better than last season. I think he will stay with us and we are very happy.”
Wenger is not prepared to give up on the chase of a striker and it remains to be seen if Wenger will submit a formal offer for the striker in the coming weeks.
Lacazette scored 21 league goals for Lyon last season and is still an important part of the French club’s plans.
