Arsenal legend Thierry Henry is backing Alexis Sanchez to fire the Gunners to the Premier League title next season.
The 26-year-old Chilean forward scored 25 goals in 52 games during his debut season with Arsene Wenger’s side last season, capping off his hugely impressive campaign with a spectacular goal during the Gunners’ 4-0 win against Aston Villa in the FA Cup final.
Sanchez moved to the Emirates from Barcelona in a £35million deal last summer and was the unanimous winner of the club’s player of the year award following his dazzling performances.
And Henry, who won three Premier Leagues during his time with the club, is backing Sanchez to inspire the Gunners to their first league title in 12 years next season.
“As an Arsenal fan I am very excited about next season and hopefully we can bring some people to the club, some new players maybe but when you have a guy like Alexis Sanchez anything can happen. Hopefully he can fire us to the title next year,” said Henry.
“Look at what he did in the FA Cup final and what he has been doing since his arrival. He has been more than tremendous.”
“We want to see that more and more and I know that he has that in his locker. When you have a guy like Alexis Sanchez, it is the X-factor.”
Arsenal fans, do you agree with Henry that Alexis can fire us to a Premier League title?
