Arsenal are preparing a bid for one of Europe’s top strikers this summer, according to reports.
Wenger is keen on strengthening his attack this summer transfer window and the French man has be scouring the market for a striker who would improve the team.
The fans have called for the boss to sign a top class striker in recent years and they could be in for some positive news as Wenger is considering making a move for a world class forward.
According to the Sun via Goal, Arsenal are plotting a move for Atletico Madrid’s Antoinne Greizmann and Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski.
The report claims Lewandowski is Wenger’s first choice and Arsenal have already made enquiries about the striker’s availability.
The striker failed to agree a new deal with Bayern Munich, Arsenal have taken advantage of the player’s uncertain future at the Alianz Arena and have held initial talks with the player’s camp.
If a move for Lewandowski fails, Wenger would turn his attention to Atletico Madrid’s Antoinne Greizmann. The Atletico striker has a release clause of £85.5m in his contract and his club would not sell him for a penny less than his release clause.
Wenger has always stated he is prepared to spend big should the right player be available and this could be the French man’s opportunity to back his statement.
