Arsenal take a short trip this weekend to Anfield to take on a not so impressive Liverpool side.
Brendan Rodgers and his men have somewhat been a shadow of themselves this season compared to their last campaign. From crashing out of the UEFA Champions League last week and finding themselves back to the Europa League, There’s not very many happy Kop fans out there, with rumours of Rodgers to be shown the exit door in the coming days already brewing.
With just 21 points from 16 games, (6 wins, 3 draws and 7 losses), Liverpool currently occupy the 11th position on the League table four spots below Arsenal at 6th.
That not withstanding, the long rivalry of both clubs will still see the game present a tensed atmosphere at Anfield come Sunday.
Arsenal on their own part will be looking to continue their recently impressive form, and what greater way to continue it than to take all 3 points away at Anfield!
Arsene Wenger however, would not be expecting to pull that off very easily even with his complete squad against a not so impressive Liverpool side as such encounters are always, always a close call for both teams.
Wenger with his almost depleted Arsenal team will be hoping his remaining available men do the business against Rodgers side at the weekend and despite the long list of players unavailable to him, here’s how Wenger is expected to line-up his side against Liverpool, with doubt Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and suspended Calum Chambers back to the starting XI for the Gooners.
