Arsenal are interested in signing Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, according to Italian newspaper Tuttomercatoweb via the Daily Star.

The Belgian striker has talked up a possible move away from Everton and is interested in joining a Champions League side.

According to the report, Arsenal are set to give the player that opportunity with the Gunners having held talks with the player’s agent. The Gunners have also held talks with Everton but the Merseyside club are adamant they won’t let the player leave.

Chelsea are also keen on the striker and Antonio Conte has identified the Belgian as one of his top priority target.

It is believed that Everton would demand a fee of €80m for the striker.

Wenger is determined to sign a striker this summer but whether the French man would pay such a huge fee for Lukaku is another question.

The report also claims PSG are interested in signing the striker and would rival Chelsea and Arsenal for the services of the Blegian. It is believed the 23 year old would prefer a move back to Stamford Bridge where he believes he has unfinished business.

Lukaku scored 18 league goals for Everton last year and with the services he would get at the Emirates, the player could be a real asset should Wenger secure his services.

No way will Arsenal even contemplate paying that amount for this striker unless the Euro completely collapses tomorrow after Britain leave the EU 😉 Maybe an exchange rate of 2 Euros to the pound would make the deal a possibility.
