Arsenal are set to be handed a transfer blow as arch rivals Manchester United plot to steal Gunners summer transfer target Kamil Glik.
The Red Devils are reportedly leading the race to sign Torino defender Kamil Glik, according to popular Italian paper Tuttosport.
Arsenal and Manchester United are in search for quality defenders to bolster their squad ahead of next season; And United boss Louis van Gaal has singled out the 6 ft 3 in Arsenal target as one of such requirements in the summer.
It is understood that both Arsene Wenger and van Gaal have been promised huge transfer funds to go about their transfer business this summer.
And for a player that would reportedly cost only £7.2 million to acquire, it would be down to how well they are able to convince the Polish international to snub one EPL side for the other.
However, Tuttosport, says that the Old Trafford outfit are ahead of others in the race for the highly rated defender with van Gaal keen on the services of the 27-year-old.
The former Palermo man has just two years left in his contract at Torino and so a £7.2 million offer should be enough to convince the Serie A outfit to do business.
Fellow north London rivals Tottenham have also been credited with an interest for the centre back who has made over 120 appearances for Torino since joining in 2011.
Glik is said to be decent defender and would add quality to any team, but do Arsenal really need a centre back this summer?
