Arsenal and Sevilla could go head-to-head in the race to sign AC Milan midfielder Carloss Bacca, according to reports.

Arsenal scouts have reportedly watched the striker on several occasions this season and he is thought to be one of Wenger’s summer targets.

Last week reports claimed Arsenal scouts made a final check on the striker and we are now preparing a bid for his services.

Should there be any truth in this, it means Arsenal have now received a huge boost after AC Milan decided to sell the striker. The Serie A giants are prepared to let the Colombian leave the San Siro as they eye a move for Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata.

However, the Gunners could face competition from Bacca’s former club Sevilla. The La Liga outfit wants to resign the striker and will make a move for his services this summer.

One can’t really say if Arsenal are interested in Bacca but if we are, I don’t think this is the kind of move we should be looking to complete. A player who has struggled in the Serie A is unlikely to make it in the Premier League, considering the demands of both leagues. My opinion!

What do you think? Should Arsenal pursue a move for Bacca?
